The Pakistani government has allowed the Pakistan cricket team to travel to India for the World Cup but expresses security concerns

The communique criticized India for its “intransigent attitude”. Pakistan has expressed concern about the security of its cricket team in India, the release said.

The Pakistan cricket team will travel to India later this year to participate in the ICC World Cup after Pakistan’s foreign ministry gave it permission to play in the showpiece tournament.

Pakistan has always said that sports should not be mixed with politics. So ICC has decided to send its cricket team to India to participate in the upcoming Cricket World Cup 2023. Pakistan believes that the state of bilateral relations with India should not be a hindrance in fulfilling its international sports related obligations,” read a press release on the website of the Ministry of External Affairs.

The Pakistan Cricket Team Concerns Over Security

Pakistan’s decision shows its constructive and responsible approach against India’s obstinate attitude after India refused to send its cricket team to Pakistan for the Asia Cup.

However, Pakistan is deeply concerned about the security of its cricket team. We are conveying these concerns to the International Cricket Council and the Indian authorities. We expect full security to be ensured during the Pakistan cricket team’s visit to India.

The much awaited India-Pakistan match was rescheduled to be held on October 14 instead of October 15 last week. According to an Indian Express report, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has approved the schedule change. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

The newspaper had earlier reported that the date of the India-Pakistan game on the first day of Navratri, which is celebrated with great fervor in Gujarat, is likely to be rescheduled.

The new schedule will now have three matches on October 14. Apart from the India-Pakistan match, Bangladesh and New Zealand will play an ODI in Chennai, while defending champions England will face Afghanistan in Delhi later in the afternoon.
