Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Dream Girl 2 opened well at the domestic box office. According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film earned around ₹ 11 crore on Friday. Directed by Raj Shandilya, the film also stars Ananya Pandey.

A Hindustan Times review of the film said, “The all-time joy is Ayushmann Khurrana – as Karam or Pooja – who is too good to be true. Her performance as Pooja is partial, and thankfully there are a lot of them, she is absolutely stunning. Ayushmann Khurrana recently told reporters that his respect for women has increased after playing the female lead in Dream Girl 2. He said that he has to wear heavy make-up and wear a heavy lehenga and a wig to play the role of a woman In summer.
“I had to shave two or three times a day, otherwise my face would turn red. The beard would grow. It was very difficult,” he said to PTI.
